So I am currently making a list of a couple thousand items that need to be marked as Inactive from one of our Vendors. Instead of going through the this and bringing up each Item one by one, I was planning to use the QSCImport tool and give each Item a Note or Reorder Number of INACTIVE ... hoping that I would then be able to run a query to search for that Note or Reorder Number and make each result an Inactive item.
Make sense? Is it possible??

Sometimes the simplest answer is right there staring you in the face. Thank you guys!!
Hi thanks for this question.
The suggestion made by Sampurna sounds like just the solution you need as the functionality is there.
If you have any questions additionally please let us know. Thanks
Yes, I recommend the built-in wizard(Wizard->Inventory Wizard) to do this. You can make items inactive in bulk by importing data from a Tab delimited or a Comma delimited or a XML file.
Yes, you could use a SQL query or the Import tool, but why not just use the RMS Wizard?
