"Email configuration test is scheduled" but never runs.

I've been having issues with the Email Configuration of my system (Office 365 Hosted).  I have some users using the Email Router with Server Side Synchronization, while others are using the CRM plug in for Outlook.

I've attempted to run tests on the mailboxes, but they're all set to "configuration test is scheduled".  The tests never run, so I am at a loss in regards to whose mailbox is working, and whose is not.

Has anyone had these test run correctly?  If so, how?

    The image below outlines what I am currently seeing on all mailboxes.

    Note that the email test has been scheduled, and the last run is showing 1/1/1900.

    Any ideas you have would be appreciated.

    Is your email router working?

    Are you running a Online Org? If so be aware you need to have a email router installed on a server. The CRM may be online but the email router needs a physical machine to be deployed.

    We are running CRM hosted via Office 365, along with Outlook for Office 365.

    Some users are using the CRM plugin for Outlook, whilst others are using the configured email router.

    How would I deploy the email router to a physical machine if it's an online Office 365 environment?  

    For the users that are using the email router and sending via the UI, these settings have been deployed.  Do I need a configured profile for users that are using the Outlook connector?

    Just further confirmation - I have configured additional email boxes, some using the Email Router, and others using the Outlook Plugin.

    Both types of configurations are running just fine, and mail is being sent and received - however the tests still show they've never run.

    Had exactly the same problem.

    On the panel on the right, you can click on Related -> Common -> Alerts  

    There you should see an error description for why the email wasn't sent.

    Hi,

    I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm using server-side sync for my mail boxes and all but one of them works. The one that doesn't work doesn't have any warnings and is stuck in the"Email configuration test is scheduled" state.

    Any way to cancel this and begin the test again? Restarting async services or Crm App Pool doesn't help.

    Hi,

    You need to change the Incoming Email/Outgoing Email from Outlook to Server Side/Email Router in order to do this testing.

    And you need to Approve the Email.

    And can you see the Alerts?
