Siva thanks for your reply. Since we were in the Test environment we did restore on table from previous backup and then it worked. I will keep you suggestion for future reference.

    Hi Bruce

Please have all users log out of the system and execute the following script in SQL Server.

    DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY

    DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00800

    DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00801

    DELETE tempdb..DEX_LOCK

    DELETE tempdb..DEX_SESSION

Once this script is executed, try inserting the exchange rate again and check if it works.

We have a process that runs nightly so don't need a solution..Thanks anyway. We had updated MC Exchange Rate Maintenance MC00100 table in Test environment from Production environment and it want let us insert a new date and rate for any Exchange Table ID. We must have copied something over incorrectly.

We have developed a solution to import currency rates from an external web service. This will automatically import current currency exchange rates into GP at configurable intervals. Please drop an email to learn more.
