Hi All,

We are in process of setting up e-invoicing for Germany and going to use Peoppol service.  Anyone done this setup in BC for sending e invoice from BC using Peppol, do we need to have a service provider or can we just join OpenPeppol please share all steps involving this including testing sandbox etc.

Thanks,
I have the same question (0)

    Hello,
For Germany in BC SaaS, you normally use the E-Documents framework and create an E-Document Service with the German supported format, such as Peppol BIS 3.0 / XRechnung UBL depending on the scenario; however, joining OpenPeppol directly is not usually the “simple BC setup” route, because Business Central sends/receives through a service integration/connector, and Microsoft lists supported Peppol connectors such as Avalara, B2BRouter, Continia, Logiq, Pagero, and SignUp. So yes, in practice you should work with a Peppol service provider/connector, get the credentials from them, configure the E-Document Service in BC, assign the required format, set up company/customer identifiers like VAT/GLN/Peppol endpoint, then test by creating an invoice and sending it as an e-document; for sandbox/testing, confirm with the selected provider because the actual Peppol test network/access and credentials are provider-dependent.
