Budget Quantity and Actual Quantity in Job Planning Task lines in Business Central

Hello,

Example, I have budgeted 8 hours for a resource in a Job Planning Task, but the actual work was 16 hours. How could I post this situation in a Job Journal without Business Central changes the Quantity field in the Job Planning Task line? I want to keep this Quantity as the Original Budget and compare this with the Actual Quantity. Is it possible?

Thanks in advance,

Hey, that's an interesting scenario you've got there! It can be tricky when the actual work differs from the budgeted hours. By the way, if you're looking for ways to manage these kinds of situations and keep your budgeted quantities intact for comparison, you might want to explore project management software for nonprofits. It can help you maintain a clear overview of your project planning and execution.

    Hello,

I have unchecked "Apply Usage Link by Default" in Job Setup, but Business Central continue adding the quantity posted from the job journal to the Quantity in a Budget line type in Job Planning Lines. I also have verified the table "Job Planning Line (1003)" fields and I didn't see any particular field for the purpose to keep the original budget quantity to compare later with the actual work.

It seems to be a Business Central limitation in its out of box version for Project Management.

    Thanks,

You can uncheck the "Apply Usage Link" on Job to maintain the Difference between Budget and Actual values on JOB.|
