Is it best to create separate IM/Integration Manager databases for separate companies? Any advice?

We have multiple companies on 1 instance of GP, all separate databases. At the present time only a small related subset of those companies use Integration Manager.  I'd like to setup a new integration for one of our larger companies. If I setup a new IM db for this company, will this  cause problems with current integrations?  What are best practices for multiple integrations for multiple companies?  Should each company have it's own IM db? Also, we have 3 Citrix prod servers.  The users usually open the GP company then go to IM via the GP menu.  Any guidance or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi,

IM allows to create multiple Integration specific to each company and whenever you are logging in into any of your GP companies, then select relevant Integration in IM for your import process.

It is not required to have multiple DB because, any Custom Integration will be stored in IM Samples.

Hope this is fine for your to understand.

    Thanks,

The way IM destination adapters work, if you use regular Microsoft Dynamics GP connector, data will go to the company you are currently logged into. If you use Microsoft Dynamics GP eConnect  destination adapters, you can configure the destination database in adapter settings. So, you definitely can use the same DB for multiple companies.

As far as Citrix is concerned and running integrations on it, we have it as well. Only limited number of users in our company can create integrations, but many can run. So, initially for each user running integrations, user with administrative privileges in GP had to log on to GP and go to Integration Manager and set up the database in Tools->Options menu. When it sticks in their Citrix profile. I'm sure you could set it up in domain group policies somehow, but for us, since we don't have many GP users in need of running integration, this way was easier.
