Payroll > Calculate Checks > no security privilege

Hi All,

I am attempting to create a new payroll clerk role. So far so good, except for using the 'Calculate Checks' under 'transactions'.

When using this 'calculate checks, immediately, the role receives the error ' you don't have security privileges. This particular role, has every task in the payroll display section checked and applied (including the most important trx_payrl_003, calculate payroll checks).

If i give the user, the 'poweruser' role, it is able to successfully 'calculate checks'. Is there a security task ID in another section that the user is suppose to have? **We do use the HR function in GP, though IMO, it should have no bearing on 'calculate checks'.

Hi All, going to answer my own question for any others who may ask the same.

You have to add system > payroll calculate taxes. This should have been default on trx_payrl_003.
