
We have imported a large number of contacts into a new CRM Online system using a particular user. That user is now finding the contacts syncing down to Outlook and is causing a problem.
Is there a way to stop this and only have contacts syncing from a now onwards. Alternatively, if we assign the records to a team containing the relevant users that need access to the contacts, will this stop those contacts from synchronising or will all members find them syncing?

Update that user's Outook My Contacts Sync rule to only include records created after the specific date you have in mind.
The out of the box outlook filters are generally all defined by the notion of record owner, so no they will not sync.
