Hi All

I went trough all of the blogs and possible solutions, but Disabling the Edit in excel via permissions is not working as I want it to.

Has anyone arrived at a better possible solution?

Hello,

If disabling the "Edit in Excel" feature via permissions in Business Central isn't working as desired, you can try creating a new permission set that excludes the "Codeunit 1488 Edit in Excel Workbook" permission or use the "OnEditInExcelWithFilters" event in a custom codeunit to block the action. These methods offer more control and flexibility over the "Edit in Excel" functionality.

It should work. Try checking if there are other permissions that may be overriding that permission, such as the user having SUPER permissions.
