Catch Weight Change Min/Max

If you have an existing Catch Weight item that is setup and you have received PO and issued SO. So you have inventory and history. Then you find out that the minimum and maximum settings need to changed for the item because it wasn't setup properly to begin with or the vendor started shipping weights outside of the minimum and maximum setup. What is the easiest way to change the minimum and maximum setup for that catch weight item? Right now we only know to remove all inventory, remove all open PO lines, remove all open SO lines, and remove all open TO lines. Then make the change to the item setup. Then put everything back. This is definitely painful. Is there a better way to do this?

Create new CW item and transfer the old item inventory balance to new item.
