How to activate MPOS/CPOS on personal Demo VM downloaded from LCS

Hi Experts,

Hope you all are doing well,

Issue Facing:

Activate MPOS/CPOS on Local Demo VM(VHD) downloaded from LCS for personal use.

Description:

I am writing this post to ask help on activation of MPOS/CPOS on local downloaded demo VM (Onebox) from LCS for personal use. I have activated the personal email address as admin user provisioning to use the D365. Everything is working fine but when decided to use Retail MPOS I stuck in generating the UPN as my email account is added in AAD of local VM but when I tried to associate the existing identity (UPN) with workers this error appear:

I appreciate if someone help me how I can activate the retail MPOS/CPOS on local VM download from LCS for personal use.

    Since this is local VM, so you should be able to access the SQL server through management studio.

    So please find the corresponding table, it should be RetailStaffTable, write the corresponding value into the table directly:

    You will find the "RetailTenantUpdateTool" utility on desktop of administrator user. Just run that and enter your credentials when it ask. This utility will configure your credential as external identity for staff '000160'. Later you can use same credentials to activate MPOS.

    If the utility not available on your desktop, you can run below script in PowerShell "C:\RetailSDK\Tools\RetailTenantUpdateTool.ps1". It will do the same work.
