Cost Accounting: Distribution of Fix Hours as statistical dimension on base of Revenue

Hello everybody,

I try to establish the cost accounting module in our company. We are using D365 FO (Main Module: Project Management and Accounting). I want to allocate (distribute) costs occurred by secondary cost center into main cost center using project posted hours (only from the main cost centers). After reading the very richfull Ludwig's Blog and also some MS Docs. I decided to use a cost allocation policy as follow:

the cost object element hierarchy:

My allocation Base (Stunden = Hours) should be calculated as following:

Total Hours = project posted hours + (Fixed Hours – posted hours for specific project resource) + [Fixed Hours * (Revenue per Department/ Total Revenue)].

I built these formula for the calculation of Total hours as follow:

  • Project posted hours: statistical dimension based on the table ProjEmplTrans using the function Sum on the field (Hours).
  • Fixed Hours – posted hours for specific project resource: Import statistical dimension using excel and using a formula allocation base
  • [Fixed Hours * (Revenue per Department / Total Revenue)]: That my problem! How can I build this Distribution of Fixed Hours? If Distribution allocation policy please let me know how?

Thanks in advance for any idea.
