Problems opening Printable Manuals from Help Menu GP10

Has anyone had a problem with a workstation not being able to access the TOC.chm file by going through the Help Menu > Printable Manuals?  I have a client that is on Windows XP SP2, GP 10 and when she clicks on the Printable Manuals it gives her an Internet Explorer script error.  It attempts to open the TOC window but when we look at the window it is blank.  We can access the manuals by going to the Documentation folder in the Program Files\Microsoft Dyanmics\GP location.  I would just like to know how to correct the script error so she can get in through the help menu. 

Any ideas?  Thank you!

    Can you reinstall Internet Explorer or apply the latest service pack?

    What is the IE script error message you are getting?

    Hi Ian,

    I looked at the Dex.ini file and the paths looked correct but I copy and paste the path over just to be sure.  Saved the Dex.ini file and made sure the user had full access to all of the Microsoft Dynamics folders and subfolders.  I logged in as SA on GP and tried to access the Printable Manuals and still received the same error.  It is really strange everyone else who has GP installed can get to the Printable Manuals from the help menu.  

    Any other ideas?  This one boggles me.  LOL!

    Hi Tammy,

    have a look in the dex.ini file on the local workstation. (located in Program Files\ Microsoft Dynamics\GP\data).

    Right click this file and select to open in notepad.

    There should be lines in here something like:

    DynHelpPath=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\

    DexHelpPath=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\

    Ensure these paths are pointing to the correct location.

    You will need to save the updated dex.ini, and close and relaunch GP for the changes to take effect.

    Also ensure her user ID has read access to the folder.
