Hi there! I have an employee who is exempt from state tax withholding.
I entered the -1/1 (Addtl State Wh/Est State Wh) in the employee state tax maintenance screen prior to running payroll.
Now, however, the employee's state tax wage basis is showing zero. I need to have a state wage basis show on the W2 even if the employee is exempt from paying state tax. What did I do wrong?
