But looking into this forum post: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/199530/supported-sql-versions-for-crm-2016-on-prem
One user updated to CRM 2016 and had SP2 installed, so I would say SP3 might be compatible too even though it was stated that wasn't necessary by the time.
I would suggest to test it first on a copy environment just to be sure.
Hi Miguel,
Would you happen to have a confirmed answer Yes or No whether SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 3 is compatible or not. I cannot go back to a client and say it "might be" as per your statement above.
Thanks
Hi Krish, did you get a confirmed answer to this?
Hi ns25,
I didn't had the chance to test and don't have a Yes/No answer.
Based on the documentation, it doesn't show to be supported/compatible, but it doesn't mean that doesn't work well.
Thank you for coming back to me. Not really the answer I was looking for as its neither here or there. Do you have a timeline as to when this will be tested please? The documentation has not been updated since Service pack 3 of SQL Server 2014 came out. Or is there anyone else we can find this out from?
