How to change the image of AX 2012 client icon

Hi I just want to open AX as run as different user so if my AX client is having below image

then i can do Shift + right click and i can run as different user .but my test client icon is like below

0844.Test.png

Is it possible to have standard Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 icon image to both of my test and production shortcuts?

i also tried with pin to task bar option , but it is not serving my purpose.

Hi Crispin

I will explain my requirement , in my above case ,the icon named as AX_Test.axc

I want to do run as different user here.

Raghu G S,

You need a bit of understanding of configuration file. Normally you use exported configurations, when you do not have AX installed on machine where you are working, or if AX is installed but you you need to access another layer that is not set on your default configurations.

So if AX is installed on your machine yet you need configuration file, follow the steps as Crispin told you.

First make copy and past your original ax client configuration file on your desktop. Next follow my below screen.

Hi Vilmos

With your answer i am able to create standard icons pointing to different instances

i duplicated standard icon and changed the target pointing to different .axc files

dynamicsnavax.blogspot.in/.../shortcuts-ax-2012.html
