Transactions on mobile device

Hi All,

Client moved to AX 2012 R3 CU9 in the month of June 2017. All inventory transactions processed using standard AX mobile device functionality.

The following clean up batch jobs scheduled on daily basis at 12: 00 AM.

Warehouse management on-hand entries clean up

On-hand entries aggregation by financial dimensions

Cleanup unused inventory dimensions

The issue is that during the above batch job execution time, the mobile devices lockup/freeze and have the some performance issues. The above batch jobs are executing on the WMDP servers. There is no network /internet issues.

The question is does your client also run the above batch jobs on recurrence basis? If yes, what is the recurrence?

What is the impact ,if we stop the above batch jobs?

Can you share more insights to analyze/address the performance issues?

    Hi sri,

We run these batches after midnight, before SQL index and statistics jobs.

In addition, we do not have anything else but IIS for WMDP, on our mobile device servers.

Typically we run them once per week, at the weekend. One of them we use to tidy irrelevant records from the On-hand inquiry. The others we use to alleviate performance problems we were having with the On-hand inquiry.
