AX 2012 RTM AOS consumed high memory

Hi,

Currently in our development environment, the AX 2012 AOS consumed as much memory as the memory allocated to the server frequently. Is there a way to prevent this?

    Hi John,

There used to be a memory leak in AX 2012 RTM. This one is solved with Cumulative update 4 or 5.

You can update the binaries to the latest kernel release to solve the memory leak problem.

    See also this blog: www.kaya-consulting.com/.../ax2012-memory-leak-hotfix-available

Note that since then new updates were released.

    Hi Andre,

Our current AX 2012 RTM version is with CU5 so I assume the hotfix is included in the CU5 yet I'm still facing the same issue. Do I need to apply the fix separately?

I've looked into the link that you've gave and from the Microsoft website seems like the fix is for AX 2012 R2. Can it be used in AX 2012 RTM version?

    Thanks.

    Hi John

    Look at blogs.msdn.com/.../overview-of-ax-build-numbers.aspx

About AX 2012 RTM, the last published kernel build is 6.0.1108.6414.

Try to download and install it.

Also, you can open a case in MS and ask for the last CU Kernel available.

The Hot Swapping AOS Parameter is enable?

If yes, this feature use much memory.

Finally, try to read also this post : community.dynamics.com/.../82994.aspx

    Regards

    Hi John,

If you are running CU5, the memory leak issue was included in this release. So you have another problem. Please have a look at the answers as well and update if you have verified these answers.

Hi, unfortunately we can't apply latest kernal build version due to some client policy and agreement. Yes, hot swapping is enabled and based on Microsoft article is best to enabled it for IL compilation.

I've read and looked into all answers but none of it I can apply besides restarting the AOS once the memory usage reach peak but this can't be the final solution.
