Hi,

I keep having problems while trying to import data into the PartyContactsV3 data entity. I'm able to import 1 line at a time, but when I trying multiple lines simultaneously, this error message keeps appearing.

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005.
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0" Hresult: 0x80004005 Description: "The statement has been terminated.".
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0" Hresult: 0x80004005 Description: "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'I_10826STAGINGIDX'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.DIRPARTYCONTACTV3STAGING'. The duplicate key value is (5637144576, PARTYCONTACT, PARTYCONTACT-2022-09-26T19:38:13-B325A7A930134D069A91FFD49F685D16, 000003185, ).".

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_INDUCEDTRANSFORMFAILUREONERROR. The "OLE DB Destination.Inputs[OLE DB Destination Input]" failed because error code 0xC020907B occurred, and the error row disposition on "OLE DB Destination.Inputs[OLE DB Destination Input]" specifies failure on error. An error occurred on the specified object of the specified component. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PROCESSINPUTFAILED. The ProcessInput method on component "OLE DB Destination" (68) failed with error code 0xC0209029 while processing input "OLE DB Destination Input" (81). The identified component returned an error from the ProcessInput method. The error is specific to the component, but the error is fatal and will cause the Data Flow task to stop running. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

Failed to insert record into staging table. The keys of the record are DEFINITIONGROUP, ELECTRONICADDRESSID, EXECUTIONID, PARTITION, PARTYNUMBER. Duplicate records must be removed from the file prior to import.-The duplicate key value is (5637144576, PARTYCONTACT, PARTYCONTACT-2022-09-26T19:38:13-B325A7A930134D069A91FFD49F685D16, 000003185, )

Hi Pierre-Alexandre,

Have you checked if there are empty lines at the end of your source file? Do you have customizations on this data entity? Can you share which exact fields are part of your source file?

According to the error message, you're trying to import two (or more) records with PartyNumber = '000003185' and ElectronicAddressId = '', which violates the primary index of the staging table.

Hi PATURGEON,

Like it is mentioned by Andre and Martin, please check your source file with duplicate records. Theses should be removed from the source file so you can import the file in D365FO.

Since the same party number has multiple purposes, we duplicated the same line but changing only the purposes at the end. It's basically the same info over and over again but with a different purpose everytime.

I can import the same Party Number with different information one at a time but not simultaneously.

Do yo use any values for ELECTRONICADDRESSID and LOCATOR?

If yes, please try to import without these fields.

I have repro the issue in my environment, when I use the same ELECTRONICADDRESSID and LOCATIONID for the records:

As I mentioned, the key is the combination of PartyNumber and ElectronicAddressId. Duplicate values WILL lead to this error, because they violate the primary key of the staging table and the database server will reject this invalid data.

So, the issue was: The data entity was corrumpt. So, I refreshed the data entities and redo the target mapping of Party Contacts. It worked. Thanks for your help everyone, much appreciated!
