Dynamic CRM 365 Web API Access Denied using Postman

Hi!

I am really new to CRM and getting the right authentication for Web API is making me crazy. I have search bunch of blogs and tutorial for getting Client ID, Client Secret and Access Token through Microsoft Azure. I must say I get those without a problem.

Now, I am trying to GET data from CRM and I do not know what I am doing wrong. I used the Access-token I received as you can see on the screencast above but I am getting 401 Unauthorized (Access Denied) error. Please refer below.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

It seems like you are getting an Azure Authorization token and not the CRM Authorization token.

Do you have the proper delegation in Azure to authenticate against CRM?

Hi Aric! I am very new to CRM and just registered my CRM to Azure yesterday so I do not know there is a difference on tokens. Would you mind to share on how to make sure I am getting which token ?

I faced the same issue. The problem is in generated token, in most of the blogs and tutorials the instructions are to use authorization Url

    login.windows.net/common/oauth2/authorize

you need to append resource parameter in that url

    login.windows.net/common/oauth2/authorize?resource=https://********.dynamics.com/

where "https://********.dynamics.com/" is your crm url
