Hi,

 

I've been trying to add a user with apostrophe in email address (like o'connel@test.com), but Dynamics says it's not a valid email address. Can anything be done about that?

    Hi Michal,

    Although it is an allowed character in the RFC: www.remote.org/.../chars.html

    However, saying that I wouldn't really advise using it. As the RFC says sometimes the mail can get lost because it is often used for quoting and also many on-line forms would typically reject an e-mail with this type of character.

    Obviously this won't help you solve the problem if you absolutely must have an apostrophe but just thought i'd give you my input.

    Hi,

    That was a real-life problem. A workaround was that users had to use another email account, but that is far less than perfect. Will probably be quite a common problem with any Dynamics CRM installation in Ireland.
