GP 10 Load Slow

Hi,

i've recently upgraded from GP9 SP3 to GP10 SP5, on a new server (running only GP). strange thing is after the upgrade, loading GP had turned very slow. initiating GP is quick, user login also fine, it's when the company is selected then there's a long halt (almost 5 minutes) until the homepage is loaded. the database had been taken to test on several different machines and all had the same scenario. anybody ever encountered this? if yes, anything i can do to my database, or perhaps GP itself ?

thanks, and cheers

ivan

    This is a known issue:

    There is a hotfix available.

    Hi David,

Is this issue only with GP10 with SP5 or GP10 with sp3 has also same issue?

Even I have observed G10 with sp3 is taking time to login into system.

    Regards,

    Santosh

The issue with AA is specific to SP5 and is already fixed in a hotfix.

If you think you might have a similar issue.  Check the number of records in the syMenuMstr (DYNAMICS.dbo.SY07110)  table.  Then login and see if it increases each time you login.  If it does, identify the CmdParentDictID which is adding new records and look up the product ID in the Dynamics.set.

That's how you identify which addon product is the issue.  It could be a custom or isv product too.
