Has anyone successfully implemented CRM Mobile whether using the mobile app or mobile web ?

We're researching how to best roll out our CRM content to users via mobile devices, but I've yet to find many successes where others have done this.  Also we're not having much luck in testing links using ms-dynamicsxrm to create ties back into the mobile app from email and such.  Is this a path worth going down or would it be better to create our own web-based app or even using SharePoint BCS and OData to integrate this into SharePoint since Share Point Mobile is kinda tried and true.  We're using CRM 365 On Prem.

Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

    Hi

Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet apps are based on Unified Interface.  If you are planning to switch to Unified Interface soon, the same form you design will be rendered on all the clients. Micsoroft has been pushing for customise and configure once and deploy to many clients/devices.

You do not need to have BCS or anything else, as the Dynamics 365 App has improved a lot.

Please see follow the links below for more information

    docs.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-365-phones-tablets-users-guide

Dynamics 365 App is available on all the stores , ITunes, Android and Windows

    Hope this helps

All the articles reference CRM 9, but we're still on CRM 365 (v8.2.1.176).  With this how best should we start looking at CRM Mobile?   For example we need to customize the mobile interface very differently from our desktop users who access solely through the browser.  I haven't found any way to change the default forum used per Entity so mobile app users see one Form and desktop users see another.  The nature of the interface is we would want to focus on different fields for each method of display.  Also we've had no good luck testing URL's using the ms-dynamicsxrm app handler via email, most email clients tend to strip it out, and we need the ability to email links to our CRM users that will direct them into the mobile app if we go this route.   Another issue is trying to prevent users from needing to constantly log into the CRM Mobile app.  With phones and tablets not being natively on our network there's no SSO option,  but I need some way for users to quickly get into the CRM app from say an emailed link or if they need to quickly enter or retrieve info.  Having them log-in each time is kind of a show stopper.  Just a few pain points we've ran into.
