Hi,
My user lost access to custom entities. The user is in root BU and is having the System Administrator and System Customizer role. Also, this issue is in just one instance. In other instances, the user is having access.
Opening 'Default solution' says "You do not have prvReadMailMergeTemplate permission to access Mail Merge Template records. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator for help."

Please check if you have the SystemAdministrator role. If you do, you should be able to check the role configuration, and under "core records" should have something like this:
