select owner when import a record

select owner when import a record Screen below allow me to change the owner when i try to import some records into leads entity. Normally i will change to other owner instead of myself. After i imported and i view the import records again, the owner still myself and is was not changed to the person i selected previously. Any idea about this ?

The select owner during this stage of the import wizard only applies to new records where there is no data provided for the owner in the import file.

If your imported data includes the owner field then this will take priority; if the records already exist in CRM then the records will already have an owner so the import wizard "selection" will also not have an effect.

Hi Ben, does it mean, if the existing record already have an "owner", even in the imported file we amend to other owners, and uploaded it, it won't take effect after uploading completion?

Coz currently that's the situation happen to me. Is there anyway I can amend the ownership of some contacts?
