I have followed the document to set up. I copy the example from document below and upload to email template. Email is sent with receipt successfully. However the placeholder is not replaced by the transaction value.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/email-templates-transactions#create-a-template-for-emailed-receipts

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/email-receipts

I am using the demo data.

Email Template(Copied from document):

Anyone have idea why the placeholder does not work?

Thank you in advance,

Lenard.

    Hi Lenard,

    That's correct. These placeholders are being used in email notifications for transactional events, for customer orders, online store orders, call center orders etc.

    It’s triggered when order status changed, based on the definition in email notification profile: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/email-notification-profiles

    In your scenario, you are essentially "printing" the receipt in an email. It's like an embedded version of the receipt in email, so only %message% placeholder is accepted, which renders the formatted receipt "strings" (defined in receipt layout designer).

    See this blog: cloudblogs.microsoft.com/.../

    Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics Communities,
