Hi:

Out of the box, does Business Central conduct 4-4-5 reporting and weekly reporting?

Thanks!

John

First I started to write no, but

When you create your accounting períods you establish the initial day, so, you can create 365 periods. I think is posible to create what you want

    Please read docs.microsoft.com/.../finance-accounting-periods-and-fiscal-years

Hi, As far as I know no, but since many reports can be filtered by posting date, you can enter the date of the week to view or export the report.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

If you are talking accounting periods and financial reporting, your accounting periods need to be setup accurately to reflect 4-4-5. Then your column settings on account schedules need to use accounting periods if you are comparing period-over-period.

As for weekly reporting, I would not create 365 accounting periods nor would I create 52 accounting periods. I would us date filters and column data comparison formulas to get the desired reporting.

    if you read

Working with Accounting Periods and Fiscal Years - Business Central | Microsoft Docs

    Microsoft says:

    pastedimage1658429637359v1.png

So, I could create "UP TO 365" periods or 3 or 52 or 12 or whatever I need/want, just need to define what I need and then, create the periods

    Best Regards
