CommerceSDK Documentation

Posted on by 285

I'm having trouble finding the official documentation for developing, debugging and deploying (CSU) extensions using the new Commerce SDK.

For instance, if I start with a Cloud Hosted Developer VM from MS, and I have cloned the repo, am able to build from Visual Studio, what is the next step?

How do I run/test my code on that very dev server? The documentation is unclear, or I'm just looking in the wrong spot.

From what I understand, the Dev VM's come with the IIS hosted CSU, although the documentation (again) is not clear on that.

    RE: CommerceSDK Documentation

    Hi Rob,

One way to debug code is to use a modern browser's debugger to step through code such as a module or data action that is typically run on the server side. And by using mock data you can test modules, data actions, and themes. The typical process when you extend the Commerce platform are mentioned in the following documents, you can check if it can help:

    learn.microsoft.com/.../sdk-getting-started

    learn.microsoft.com/.../test-data-action-mocks

    learn.microsoft.com/.../debugging-best-practices
