Very Large Dynamics CRM 2011 SQL Database

Hi ,

I have been using the server for 11 month now and the CRM SQL Database is using 630 GB .What can be possibly wrong . Auditing is only using 5 GB this is what the auditing page in CRM listed.

I checked what tables are using the most storage here is the result :

    Known Issue regarding AsyncOperationBase and WorkflowLogBase. You need to do a cleanup of these tables as described here:

    support.microsoft.com/.../en-us

    I agree , just do a clean up following above kb article mentioned by Peter. Apart from this to maintain the size you can also follow below kb article and create  reg keys.

    The AsyncOperationBase and WorkflowLogBase tables grow very large and performance issues occur when you use many workflows in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

    The Asyncoperation tables grow very large in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

    These keys will work in CRM 2011 too.

    Hi ,

    Thanks for replying I have a couple of questions  :

    1) It is recommended to turn off the Async service but executing this query on the database will take more than 24 hours and I can't stop the crm server for 24hours (I tried running the query on a replica ). So what do you recommend me to do?

    2) Can I run the query during normal business hours ?

    3) If not what do you recommend me to do?
