Can not download VM from connect.microsoft.com

I can create D365 environment in Azure of version Dynamics 365 for Operations (Release 1611) in LCS.

And i also want to download the same version VM from connect.microsoft.com.

But i found the download link of this version has been deleted.

Anyone knows the reason why this version just support Azure environment but none support Locally environment (VM) ?

Hi Wancheng,

You can actually download VM from your Azure environment also. Try to navigate to Azure portal management and select the VM and Containers from there you can download VM files.

If you are looking from Microsoft Connect You should be part of Dynamics Feedback program. So that you can check all the latest dynamics for operations 365 latest with platform update 7 for now.

First time heard of that. Can you provide some more specific information about download VM from Azure portal ?

Some thing like screenshots will be very helpful.

You mentioned you wanted Release 1611, which is definitely available on Connect. For example, you can download "the development VHD for Dynamics 365 for Operations (1611) with Platform update 7".

Maybe you meant (but didn't say) that you wanted an environment with Platform Update 3, but is it really the best approach? Why do you want to miss new platform features and bug fixes? And you'll have to install a newer platform to your Azure environment later this year anyway, at least if you want to use a supported version (the support for PU3 ends on 30th November).

I can confirm that the download links on the latest platforum update 7 for release version 1611 were working just fine last week, and was able to run the VM once extracted. I only struggled to use the connect site's custom download tool, but the direct links worked.

I sent the issue to Microsoft and the download the link of Update3 has been resurrected.
