Error message by opening a form & strange form edit view

Hello Community,

i`ve got a big problem, i do not understand and hope someone of you, can help me out ?!

We are working with Dynamics 365 Online Marketing Lists for a short time right now.

So our Marketing sets up our first marketing list.

When looking at this marketing list in the Sales HUB UI, you can only see the first 14 members added to this list:

So i went to our solution, added the marketing lists as an entity to our solution and opened the form "1. Marketing Liste" an shown in the following screenshot:

Then i increased the number of rows shown from 14 to 250 !

After that i saved my changes and published the solution.

Looking at the marketing list members from the Sales HUB everything worked perfekt so far and 250 members were shown, just like i planed it to look like.

Then i went back to our solution and wanted to change an other option in the same form, but now i saw this error message, when opening the marketing list form (1.)

Then i tried to open the other existing marketing form shown as "2." in the screenshot above.

Now my form edit screen looks strange and bugged somehow:

I tried to export the corrupt marketing form from our sandbox (where everything looks normal) and import it to our production enviroment.

But the error message still occours and the form edit view still looks strange.

I really don`t know what happened and hope that someone has an idea how i can fix the error and the strange looking form edit view ?

Hi,

Seems like the Form XML got corrupted during save (which is quite rare). We can try looking into trace logs and find out what's gone wrong. However, first lets try to recover your form using following steps:

If the form still works fine in your Sandbox environment, save a copy of the form (use Save As option in the form customization).

Include this new form in a solution and import in production environment.

Publish the new form and see if it works as expected.

Also, what was the last thing you changed in the form (that might point us to the problem)?

I don't know about the error, but I have seen weird form edit screens several times and they have been solved by clearing web browser cache (not the last hour or last day, but clearing it from the beginning of time).

As for the error, Can you download a log file or something when it shows, or you only have the screenshot that you have put in your question??

Hi,

Issues could be

1)Form might have corrupted,any error log file will be handy to analyse.

2)Clear cache and sign out all your instances and try again.

Hi everybody,

first of all i want to say thank you, to all of you, who tried to answer my question !!!

1. I deleted my complete brwoser cache (All Time) and that really helped, that my buggy looking Form Editor is back to basic, when opening a normal form (not the corrupt one) !!!

2. But when i open the still corrupt marketing list form, the buggy Form Editor is back in the same moment even when looking at normal working forms from other entities !

3. So i deleted my browser cache (All Time) again and the form editor looks normal again.

4. But i still could not open the corrupt Marketing List Form, because the same error occours.

5. Unfortunally there is no error message protokol i could download. I just can see this message:

6. On friday i allready created a "small solution" where i just put in the Marketing List form from our sandbox (here i can still open it)

7. But after exporting and importing the solution from our sandbox into our productiv system, i still get the error message from above, when trying to open the marketin list form.

8. I think i will have to open an Microsoft Support Ticket to get help from Microsoft directly ?!

The strange thing is, that our marketing app users are still able to see the Marketing List form in our productive enviroment and can work with that form normally.

The "only" Problem is, that i (as our Dynamics Administrator) could still not open the form in our solution.

The last change i made in our marketing form, was to change the shown amount of member records from 14 to 250, shown in the screenshot:

Here i opened an other form as an example, because the marketing list form still throws the error shown above.

Hi Markus,

Could you go to https://make.powerapps.com/ and see if this form is normal in the power apps forms.

For the forms in modern-driven apps, we recommend users to edit in powerapps.

Hi Hao,

using Power Apps to edit my solution and open the corrupt marketing list form, i can get one step further.

Do not get the error message, while using the old UI for customizing our system, but see the following error messages inside the still corrupt marketing list form:

Hi Markus,

I just found that this form has an OOTB error message in power apps, as you can see, so finding a solution in power apps may not work.

Could you try to create a new main form and see if it is normal?

Did you trying making a copy of the form in Sandbox environment? Try importing the new form in the Production and see if this works.
