Allow access to CRM from external server

Hi all, I have CRM 2011 running in a Windows Server 2008 R2 vmware, on port 5555. Problem is I can't access it from my host system. I can access port 80 though. I've tried to add Inbound Rule for TCP port 5555 to the CRM server firewall but to no avail. Anything else to configure? Thanks!

    Hi Vincent,

    You have not given the exact error you are receiving while you try to access CRM from host server. If it is 401.1 error you can try following link to disable loopback check.

    Hi Dipak, sorry I might need to rephrase my question. I cannot access the CRM server from a client PC.

    It's totally fine accessing from inside the server itself. I can also access port 80 of the server from a client PC, but not port 5555, on which CRM is running. So I don't think it's a loopback issue.

    Error on IE is IE cannot display the webpage, so I dont think it has reached the server.

    Have you tried to access the application by http://server ip:5555?

    Is there any antivirus program or any other proxy settings that can be avoid here and the you can test this behavior. A simple test is to create a CRM Online org and then see if you can access that Org or not.
