MR report links issue

MR report

Client is using both Chrome and Internet Explorer to open links to MR reports - they are setup as a viewer only in MR.  He said he used to see the refresh button on the bottom of the web view, but it is no longer there.  Also, when he clicks on the Show - previous reports - he can only see reports generated by one user, not the use who sent him the link.  Has anyone else run into this?  He is in IE version 10 and Chrome 43.0.2357.132.

This may be oversimplifying things, but my experience with Management Reporter, SSRS and other tools are they should be added to the list of Trusted Sites in IE security settings and the Compatibility View List as well. You may try starting IE as administrator, as well.

That sounds strange indeed... was anything changed on the user's security side on MR ?

While doing some quick search, I cam across this blog post on the community that show the MR 2012 Web client _without_ the refresh icon too at the bottom..

What I don't quite understand is that the user did have the refresh before then it disappeared within the last week.  He upgraded IE to 11 and still cannot see the refresh button.  I can see it in my test environment.  Also, he can view the list of previous reports, but when he selects one - it does not open even in another tab - the current report remains.

    Hi,

What version (CU) of MR 2012 are you running ? I'm running the MR web viewer only with IE (11.0.20) and see no problem with the toolbar at the bottom... Is only the 'Refresh' icon missing or some of the others as well ?

Keep in mind that MR Web viewer relies on SilverLight... you may want to check if the latest version is installed.
