custom address "ship to" phone number street address

Contractor wants delivery to his customer. So, tried to use Ship to > Custom Address to do so.

Did not see Phone or Email box for data entry.

Tried putting Phone# in Contact field, but didn't display.

Several things happened when SO document printed:

1.  Text from Address 2 ended up printing on line with Address1

2.   Contractor Phone AND email printed on Sales Document under Custom ship-to address

Any thoughts are welcome.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

You should teach the User to create Ship-to Addresses for the Customer Card. I am guessing that the Contractor is the Customer and they are shipping to different addresses.

The Ship-to or Custom Address does not have a specific Ship-to Phone No. or Email field. It uses the main fields.

As for print out of the Sales Order, I would check if this document has been customized or altered. I tried a Custom Address from within CRONUS and it looks fine.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Thanks for the detailed response.

Like you I tried Ship to: Custom Address in Cronus and the main Customer phone/email info displayed on Sales Orders.

UPDATE: The contractor (our customer) participates in a program where they can extend a special price to their customers (who may or may not also be a company customer). Kind of a variation on "drop shipment. Is it possible if both the contractor and their customer are in the database to use that customer's info as the custom address?

    Hello,

When doing a Drop Shipment, you will be able to pull in the Customers Ship-to yes.

It's not really a drop shipment. The contractor is buying on behalf of his customer (who is also a direct customer of the store and in the database) BUT the delivery is going directly to contractor's customer from store's warehouse.  Still trying to figure out a simple solution to handle this situation since it's likely to happen in the future since this new  "in the trade program" for contractors has started.

From your previous response, will we need to do a mod to add phone number/ email to the Custom Address selection?

    Hello,

Yes, I would have an extension to add the 2 fields and make sure they print on any documents.
