Cannot access Tasks [Project For The Web]

Hi,

I've upgraded from PSA to Project Operations on a Sandbox environment. Now, when I create a new Project, the Tasks tab is not enabled for me stating that the license is not available.

What licenses do I need to have? We have Application Partner Sandbox Licenses - shouldn't this still be enabled?

Hi Pryesh,

This Tab is an IFrame of Project web app, that requires a full license to view all enhancements it brings to the system when it is compared to the Deprecated Schedule Tab available on PSA. You must check if your license is a full user in Project Ops. or if it is a Team Member license. Team Members will not be able to see anything on this particular Tab. Since Project Task is restricted entity You need Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation or Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement plan or Dynamics 365 plan to access it.

Hi All,

I was able to get around with this. In fact, the issue was with Microsoft Project Application User not having Security Roles in the environment.

Since, it was an upgrade from PSA to PO, the new user came about without any security roles assigned.

Hope this answers the original problem statement.
