User can't see the changes of report

ReportReport
Posted on by 453

Hi

I am working on a report in AX 2009.

I have made some changes to the report, but the other user can't see the changes.

We are both on the same server and the same environment.

I have done following already:

  1. Ask the user to restore the report.
  2. Restart AOS service
  3. Compile the application
  4. Reset usage data

But the user still can't see the changes.

Are you talking about SSRS reports, or legacy MorphX reports (these are only kept for upgrade purposes and you should not use those).

The SSRS report changes which you have done in the report designer must be deployed to a reporting server.

You could take a look at the following blog:

    Hi Vilmos

Its MorphX report. I also prefer to work with SSRS, but in this case its not up to me to decide :)

If I would be an inquisitor (code quality/VCS check-in gatekeeper), I'd burn it on fire! Please use SSRS :)

Did you try to delete AUC files, which are cached AOT objects stored for each user profile (while the AX client is closed for the user), and might be the cause of your problem?

I deleted the AUC files too, but it didn't solve the problem.

This is all I could recommend with the provided details I am afraid.

Try opening a ticket with Microsoft, or redesign the MorphX report to be SSRS-based.

    Thanks for your help Vilmos.

It showed today that the problem wasn't the report, but the user. He had forgot to check an option, to be able to see the changes :)
