Daily variances between Stock Status report and Inventory GL account

Hi All,

We reconcile our stock status report & inventory GL account on a daily basis and always have variances (sometimes $10, sometimes $1,000s). These variances have been present for several years but always been relatively low (under $10) and attributed to rounding errors or some such.

The very large swings started December 2018 and despite month's of trying to investigate the root cause of the issue we haven't come up with anything significant to explain the issue let alone solve it. We're at a complete loss here, has anyone on here experienced this or have any input on how to investigate?

We are using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 version# 14.00.1159 (R2)
