How to connect MS CRM dynamics 2016 using web API

Below are my doubts

1. Is it mandatory to register in windows azure active directory to access CRM dynamics 2016 using web API?

2.  If we are using web API to connect CRM dynamics 2016 , we have to use any Visual studio versions specifically like VS 2013 or Higher where startup.cs file is  available (for better solution structure)?

3. Sample application for connecting CRM dynamics 2016 using web API .

    Hi, Yes you will need an Azure Account to succesfully register a ClientID Token for Performing Restful operations using the Web API, this is to provide an additional layer of security

    2.You can use Both VS 2013 or 2015, just make sure you are using the correct SDK and .Net references

    3. You can find sample applications in the CRM 2016 SDK you can download from www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    1. CRM 2016 web API is available to access CRM details in 3rd party applications, we should consume the WEB API directly in third party application or We can access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web API in WCF or WEB API application which will be available for the 3rd party applications ?

    2. is it good practice to access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web API directly? 

    3. If no they how we can access  the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web API in node js or jscript applications ?
