Joining two Views and Missed DisplayMethods of their Datasources

I am trying to create a SSRS report. For that, I needed a Query which I have built by joining two different views and created a combined view. Now the problem is that all display methods belonging to the child views are not accessible now and can not be selected.

However, If I use just a single view as my Report's Datasource then its Datasources' display methods would appear as depicted in the figures.

Is there anything I can do to have the Display Methods back?

One possible solution is to recreate the display methods as computed columns for your combined view if they do not contain any special business logic, so for SSRS they would look like as regular fields.

They are really difficult to recreate. most of them have huge dependancy on other tables.

I do not have AX in front of me right now, but maybe you could try to drag the display method to the Views' field list and see if that works. I remember that with regular tables, you could add display methods to Field groups and they would be automatically shown on the forms.

If you cant create computed columns then you may need to take a different approach of using a data provider class for your report.

As mentioned by Rachit, if the above tip did not work, then your only option is to either recreate the methods, use computed columns, or work your way around by using a Data Provider class, where you add the two views' contents to a single Tmp table.
