How to transfer a custom field from LedgerJournalTrans to GeneralJournalEntry / GeneralJournalAccountEntry when posting the journal?

Hello,

I'm facing the requirenment to transfer the data of a custom field (e.g.: LedgerJournalTrans.MyCustomField) to the corresponding general journal table (e.g.: GeneralJournalEntry.MyCustomField), when the journal is posted.

I found some posts in this forum pointing to a solution in AX2012, but D365 is quite different regarding the use of extensions. Also at some point a helpful blog is linked on "VSITGLOB", which isn't available any more.

How could this be solved in D365?

After searching a bit more I found a solution:

To summarize:

- Add the custom field to LedgerJournalTrans, GeneralJournalAccountEntry and LedgerPostingTransactionTmp table

- Create an extension (COC) of the class "LedgerVoucherTransObject"
