(0) ShareShare

We have been a long time rms user with about 30 stores.  5 polling servers that poll at night. We  have had about pretty good success untill the last several months.  It seems the hqserver application is faulting across one or more of our polling servers every couple of days.

    I would double check that your HQ Server is on .155 as your error message says you are at .0105.

    From your error message;

    Faulting application name: HQServer.exe, version: 2.0.0.105, time stamp: 0x45799a49

    I would start by running a CHKDSK and a Memory test,

    I assume that there is an Anti-Virus program on the machine(s)?

    When was the last time the database was re-indexed and a check run on it?  BACKUP FIRST!!

    Jeff

    SSEP is running on the HQ database server and polling servers.  You think HQ database server is causing the polling servers to error?

    Hi Eho,

    Try closing the HQ server applications and clear the temp folders and then re open the applications.

    WTMA (Way Too Many Acronyrns)  www.acronymfinder.com/SSEP.html

    What/which is SSEP referring to?

    Symantec End Point Protection.  We re-indexed HQ and ran checkdb successfully. We are suspecting deadlocks but just turned that on to log.  We are reducing size of the HQ database also..

    Have not seen any issues with this product.  If fact we run it on one of our networks in house.

    Jeff, I think you were correct in looking at HQ database.  We reduced the size and performed maintenance on HQ database. This improved the polling performance. Looks like it is time to upgrade the HQ server and add some more power.
