Business Central Customer Address/Job Address/Bill To Address/Sell To Address

I am new to this system, so forgive me if this is posted somewhere else.  I have looked!

We are in a service industry where all addresses are the same (with exceptions, of course).  Is there a way to keep all addresses for the Customer and Jobs (Bill To and Sell To) the same if the customer address changes?  Once a customer and job have been created, the addresses are all the same. If the customer address changes, we must manually change the job addresses (this could be 100's of jobs for that customer).

We have tried exporting, but that will only change the address for the job and not the Bill To and Sell To addresses - those being drop down selections.

I just need to globally change ALL ADDRESSES for a job if the customer address changes.

I am sure this is something easy to fix and would appreciate any assistance with this issue!

The danger of switching customer no. back and forth is to overlook all the possible changes that might happen based of that.

Can be price changes, date changes, discount changes and all those kinds of stuff.

What you really should do is to create a batch job that updates only the data you need.

If you are not familiar with AL development you should probably ask your Business Central partner for assistance of this issue.

The code that is needed to do this is not very complicated so it should not take your partner too long to help you with this.

    Thank you for the input.

In playing around in our sand box version, I was able to change the customer address on the customer.  Next step was to export the jobs for that customer and change the "sell to" customer number to a dummy customer number and publish.  I then changed it back to the original customer number and published.  It changed all versions in all spots.

Does anyone know if this could create any issues?  Maybe table issues, previous invoice address issues, etc.

It could also be an option to check out a 3.party solution from AppSource.

Even though they don't state directly that they have the feature you are asking for it might be worth to contact them and check.

Yun is right. There is no standard feature that allows bulk updating of the orders' Bill-to and Sell-to fields.

You need code if manual data entry is too time-consuming and error-prone.

You can probably achieve what you need with PowerAutomate.

Hi, as far as I know, there is no such function in the standard BC. This is the same as modifying the customer's master data, which does not reflect on the order. It needs to be obtained again to take effect, such as creating a new order or job.
    But it can be customized.

Hope other experts can give you better advice

    Thanks.
