Financial Batch Will Not Post in 10.0

Status of batch in Batch Entry screen shows as Printing. Attempt to view batch in Batch Entry screen give message This batch is being posted. Attempt to post batch in Series Posting returns message You have not marked any batches for posting. The batch does not appear in the Batch Recovery window. Journal entry shows up on General Journal report as posted but does not appear in GL.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Actually, this is the most common problem that is frequently asked about in Dynamics GP. Check the Knowledge base Article ID: 850289 in order to fully understand the root causes of the problem and how to well handle it.

Otherwise, If you are looking for a quick solution, ensure that all GP Users are logged out, and run the following scripts against on SQL Management Studio;

DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY

DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00800

DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00801

DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_LOCK

DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_SESSION

Then, in order to release the batch, run the following script;

UPDATE SY00500 SET MKDTOPST=0, BCHSTTUS=0 WHERE BACHNUMB='BACH Number'
