AX2012 Attachments - Generate from Template

Several places in AX 2012 there is a button labled "Generate From Template" in the Attachments section of the toolbar. I see it on the main Purchase Order screen and the Sales Order Screen too. I can't find any documentation on how to setup and use this feature of 2012.

Has anyone gotten the "Generate from Template" button to work in AX 2012? How do I set it up?
