Email Alerts

On logging in Dynamics 365 will notify me that I have 3 alerts for my mailbox.  If I click View Alerts, I see these alerts:

Duplicate records were found for the mailbox XX. To view the duplicate records, see the alerts in the mailbox record.

Email Server Error Code: ExchangeSyncDuplicateRecordsError

An error occurred while synchronizing items from Microsoft Dynamics 365 for the mailbox XX. To view the item that failed, see the alerts in the mailbox record.

Email Server Error Code: ExchangeSyncUnknownACTIntegrationError Learn More

When I attempt to view the alerts in my mailbox, they never finish loading (hourglass dots keep going forever).  (See below)  Is there another way to address these alerts?

You can also look them up by using the following advanced find-

So what got my alerts to show in the mailbox was:

    1) Clicking Approve Email.  (Apparently this resets the mailbox.  Note that I had approved it in the past.)

    2) Clicking Test and Enable and then checking the box "If this mailbox was previously configured to sync with another organization, checking this option will switch it to sync with this organization."

I was then able to see and merge the offending duplicate contact.

    RE: Email Alerts

Hi, I assume you want to eliminate a duplicate mailbox and enable the actual one. If you have created a mailbox manually, please remove that and use only the one what was created when you assigned the user a license.

    To enable -

If you are the global administrator of the O365 instance. You'll need to first make sure that the user has a mailbox, once that is done. Click on Approve email.

Finally, if your aim is to enable Server Side Sync (or whatever the configuration might be), click Test & Enable Mailbox.

    Hope this helps.
