Sales Order & Work Description Notes- Export Options

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 48

Hello, MS Family.

Are there any reports in BC that allow a user to export Sales Order Header details and work description notes into an excel file?

I imagine that this could be done with a Jet Report, but wanted to first see if there is anything out of the box that could be used.

I did attempt to pull this with a configuration package, but the work description notes are not appearing, only an asterisk.

Do you have set a filter on the "Work Description"?

The data is stored as binary so would need something custom to extract it. This blog shows a possibility for you to try: thinkaboutit.be/.../

I say your best option is jet report. I have done this with jet report before (use flowfield). I could not find a method to use configuration package.

Hi, As far as I know, there is no standard way to do it.

It is a field of Blob type, as Josh mentioned, it needs to be extracted before it can be used.

I also tested the Open In Excel function, same as exported in Configuration Package, only an asterisk.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.
