Odd behavior with TSRemoteApp

I recently set up GP 2010 to be used with RemoteApp for my Accounting dept rather than having GP installed locally.  This is working well but there are a couple quirks.  For some of my users when they click on the shortcut to open the remote GP they are the "Microsoft Outlook 2010 Startup" window and have to cancel it every time.  I have no idea where this is coming from (the users all use Office 2013).  Also when a user opens up remote GP to log in, most of the time somebody else's username will be in the login box.  Is there a way around that?

Yeah I was using that.  Guess I'm just too dumb to get it.  Thanks.

David has an excellent article on the subject of the DEX.INI and other methods you can use.

Could my problem be that I'm setting it to blank manually in the Dex.ini file?  I can't use the tool because I can't get the tool window to show on my screen on any computer no matter what I do.  I see it in the task bar but can't use the normal tricks (like window key plus arrow) to show the UI.

Setup your users as MBS DEBUGGER.  The only one that should be the MSDEBUGGER ADMIN are users who can log in as "sa".  And mine is working perfectly.

On the DEX.ini Configuration for Debugger tool the Setting or Search String is SQLLastUser  and the Value line is equal to blank.

The search mode is equal to silent.

And whenever anyone is logging in they just get the blank setting.

It seems like what's happening is it works the first time after I put a blank SQLLastUser in the Dex.ini file but then the file gets updated every time somebody logs in.  I tried putting separate copies of Dex.ini in each user's home directory but then GP acted like there was no company database.  I might just continue to use the shared Dex.ini in the Data folder but create a script that reverts that setting every time it gets changed.

I got the tool and am ready to install it but I'm wondering if all users need MBS DEBUGGER USER or MBS DEBUGGER ADMIN in order for the login box to be blank every time. ?

The support debugging tool was developed by David Musgrave (MVP) out of the MS Asia Office.  It is a free tool, but you need to obtain it from your VAR.  It comes with instructions.  But it has some great tools that we use as well.  We have multiple companies and can color code the companies so that when we have newbies they aren't in the wrong company creating vendors/customers.  You can use the dex tool to point to shared dictionaries for everyone, shared OLE notes etc.  And if you get frustrated by Great Plains security and trying to figure out exactly what window you can't get to, it helps there too.  And once setup correctly, if a user gets an error, they can capture the instance and send it right to you.  And once it is setup you can capture everything that went with the error.  The consultants all use it.  But with even a little bit of knowledge, anyone can use it.  I was a consultant for 16 years and I love it.  Makes my life easier now that I work for a customer.  BTW, it is  a simple installation to each of your TS it just adds an xml file and once you set it up on one, it is setup...

Here is the link for more information on what it can do:

Thanks Susan!  I didn't know about the Customize button.  Can you tell me more about the Debugging Tool?  Do I install it on the RemoteApp server?

The way around the user's name is to get the Debugging Tool and then you can have it come up blank every time.  And have you turned off Outlook in each of the user's setups so that it is not trying to launch Outlook when they launch Great Plains?  (Customize button top right of GP screen).  Only a suggestion.
