Hi,
Is there a customized way to fire a cash drawer from D365 by clicking a button on the user interface?
Currently, we have configured a local printer port.
Unlike AX2012, we use the cloud hosted environment, so I wonder how this can be achieved.
Thank you.
Hi
Currently we use the thin client which has the printer port that is connected to the cash drawer via the cable. We have used WinAPI:ShellExecute method to send a command to the thin client from AX2012 to run a bat. file to fire the cash drawer.
I wonder how we can make it work in D365 cloud housed environment.
Any help?
Are you looking for an option to trigger the request from D365 headquarters (the web interface)? Could you please provide more information on your architecture (for eg: are you using a POS/HW station, and how the cash drawer is connected (To printer or directly to POS using a COM port))?
Note: Network-connected POS peripherals are available these days. You should be able to open the cash drawer using web/network calls. Check with your hardware vendor for more details
