am trying to update salesorderdetail entity using plugin in CRM 365... was working fine but since a week time giving below error any solutions or fix for same...
System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault]: Required bundle item cannot be updated (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault).

I have the same problem for a client using 2016 on prem. Trying to update a field on a required bundle item.

Hi Alby,
We had the same problem and fixed it like this: we changed our plug-in to a custom workflow step and set the workflow to run in the background. We did this initially to hide the error message for the user, coming from the realtime workflow. To our surprise the plug-in did not create an error and just worked.
