Normally (in Europe) if you are a SMB you go with NAV and if you are an enterprise you go with AX.
For my SMB company I can see a bunch of reasons why “AX 7” will be a very good fit for us. The UI is beautiful, HTML 5 rendering makes our employees on the road very productive, the quarterly updates based on user feedback means that our system will only get better in time, real time reporting and business processes keeps our quality at a top level.
For me, as a non-professional, it looks like a lot of the pain that prevented the SMBs from using AX is gone:
- Easier to deploy and update
- Azure removes our need for own data center
- Customize thru configuration, not code
- Configure to just do the workload you need rather than full suite deployment
For me if basically looks like the new Dynamics AX offer a lot that we, being a SMB company can take advantage of.
What are your thoughts about this – will the new Dynamics AX be a good fit for smaller business than the older versions?
